Dr Gordon Narayansingh performed a total laparoscopic hysterectomy using the FreeHand Panorama in the first robot-assisted hysterectomy in the Caribbean.

He gained experience in robotic laparoscopic surgery while working in UK hospitals and now uses the innovative technology and his skills and experience to benefit the Caribbean people.

The hysterectomy follows the ‘Trinidad 6’, who performed several robot assisted surgeries including colectomies, liver resection, fundoplications, prostatectomies, hernia repairs, laparoscopic cholecystectomies and a pancreatic resection using Freehand surgical cobots.
