From 8 to 10 September 2026, FreeHand Panorama 2.1 was introduced into clinical use in Riga, Latvia, under the guidance of Dr V. P.
Following technical set-up and hands-on preparation, the system was used across four laparoscopic procedures, including hernia repair. The preparation covered system positioning, sterile sleeve application and surgeon control through intuitive head movements.

This milestone in Riga marks an important transition for Panorama 2.1 — from technical development to clinical practice.
Throughout the procedures, Dr V. P. experienced the system’s core advantages in a real operating-room environment: direct control of the laparoscopic view, stable visualisation and integration into the existing surgical workflow.

The first clinical use also represents the beginning of a structured professional development pathway. Continued clinical experience and case follow-up will support Dr V. P.’s progression within the FreeHand KOL Programme — from the first live case towards future proctoring.
FreeHand Panorama 2.1 is now in clinical use in Riga.
FreeHand. Upgraded. Now in Practice.
